I recently painted my kitchen counter using a giani granite paint kit i then finished it with 2 coats of epoxy.

If you simply don t like granite it would be simpler to tear it out and put in a different type of counterop. If the countertop is not very large there are some spray epoxy paints that can work well. There is no amount of paint or painting technique that would improve upon the surface. I recommend to anyone who is thinking of painting a granite surface to start with a small project in the home such as a granite fireplace surround and use an oil based paint.
